The Sports Lottery provides grants to members participating in adventurous training to help reduce their personal contributions. A few examples:

The Navy Outdoor Centre (Germany) is running Exercise BAVARIAN SURPRISE from 18 Jan 2009. Exercise BAVARIAN SURPRISE is the Royal Navy & Royal Marines Adventurous and Challenging Activities exercise in Bavaria, Southern Germany.
